Tracy Schneweis is back for his fifth season as Head Groundskeeper with the Salem Avalanche. Schneweis has both a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management (2000) and a Masters Degree in Sports Administration (2001) from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.

Schneweis previously worked in minor league baseball with the Augusta GreenJackets of the South Atlantic League in 2002, and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans of the Carolina League in 2003. He spent a portion of the 2007 off-season in Chinese Taipei as part of an international grounds crew preparing stadiums for Baseball’s World Cup.

Schneweis resides in Salem with his famous basset hound, Nolan.
