Steven, a Fayetteville (WV) native, is entering his sixth season in baseball, and second with the Avalanche.  Steven graduated from Concord University with a degree in Sport Management in 2003 after completing a season long internship with the Princeton (WV) Devil Rays of the Appalachian League. Steven came to Salem in January of 2007 after spending three seasons with the Wilson (NC) Tobs in the Coastal Plain League including a stint as the General Manager.

Steven, an avid sports fan, enjoys rooting for his beloved West Virginia Mountaineers, Washington Redskins, Cincinnati Reds, Charlotte Bobcats, and Carolina Hurricanes.

Steven resides in Salem with his wife Sherry and three children, Stevie (6), Jordan (8) and Ashley (13).
